Naeva and NM Native Vote (NMNV) are Indigenous-led non-profit organizations based in Albuquerque and Farmington, New Mexico. We are seeking to hire skilled professional individuals to fulfill multiple vacant job positions within our organization.

Over the past few years, Naeva and NM Native Vote helped enact the first and most comprehensive Native American Voting Rights Act in the county, successfully capped payday loans to rein in predatory lenders, played a key role in transforming Indigenous education in New Mexico, and actively work to get progressive candidates elected up and down the voting ballot.

DEPUTY DIRECTOR

The Deputy Director will support our Executive Director in developing programmatic goals, managing staff, contracts, programs, and day-to-day administration of our organization. This position is a great opportunity for an individual to make our vision of transformative advocacy and power-based organizing into reality.

COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT

As a Communications Assistant your primary task will be assisting with content creation across our digital platforms, including social media, websites, and email newsletters. The Communications Assistant is responsible for supporting the Communications Director and Creative Producer on various media-related tasks for all of Naeva and NM Native Vote that includes organizing and archiving media assets while striving to improve digital accessibility.

INDIGENOUS ENERGY FIELD ORGANIZER  (Farmington Office)

We are seeking an eager professional to join us as an Indigenous Energy Field Organizer who will work with the Farmington Indigenous Energy team to promote the objectives of energy work on the Navajo Nation. They will be expected to analyze energy policies and current events to ensure Diné communities are included in an equitable and just transition to the renewable energy economy.

CANVASSER

We are seeking to hire canvassers to talk to Indigenous voters about candidates, important election dates, and information relevant to the 2024 primary and general elections. As a canvasser, you will be responsible for approaching voters at their homes and on the phone, providing them with information while encouraging them to vote on or before Election Day.

Naeva and NM Native Vote employees are required to work in-office, with some remote work based upon relevant circumstances. Occasional travel throughout New Mexico and the U.S. may also be required for the state Legislative Session in Santa Fe or for conferences or events out of state.

Positions may vary from full-time to part-time opportunities. Benefits for full-time employees include medical/dental/vision.
